Ginger Apple Fizz Mocktail

This mocktail is perfect for holidays and even has some benefits for migraine! Ginger has been studied for its ability to manage pain and nausea associated with migraine. It’s a potent antioxidant and anti inflammatory root. Cinnamon has been studied for its ability to manage blood sugar levels, an important part of migraines management!

Ingredients

For ginger simple syrup:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • Approx 1/4 cup ginger, sliced

For one drink:

  • 4 oz apple cider
  • 2 oz sparkling water
  • 1 oz ginger simple syrup 
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Directions

  1. For simple syrup, add sugar, water, and ginger to saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes, then transfer to glass container.
  2. For drink, mix all ingredients with ice and stir
  3. Top with cinnamon stick and slice of ginger and enjoy!
