This mocktail is perfect for holidays and even has some benefits for migraine! Ginger has been studied for its ability to manage pain and nausea associated with migraine. It’s a potent antioxidant and anti inflammatory root. Cinnamon has been studied for its ability to manage blood sugar levels, an important part of migraines management!
For ginger simple syrup:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- Approx 1/4 cup ginger, sliced
For one drink:
- 4 oz apple cider
- 2 oz sparkling water
- 1 oz ginger simple syrup
- 1 cinnamon stick
- For simple syrup, add sugar, water, and ginger to saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes, then transfer to glass container.
- For drink, mix all ingredients with ice and stir
- Top with cinnamon stick and slice of ginger and enjoy!
